Ayodhya verdict: Schools, colleges closed in Haridwar Uttarakhand India

Dehra Dun: Haridwar district administration on Wednesday ordered closure of educational institutions for two days from tomorrow as a precautionary measure in view the of Ayodhya title suit verdict.

However, schools and colleges in other districts including the state capital would remain open tomorrow, official sources said.

Meanwhile, as part of elaborate security arrangements, over 3,000 police personnel have been deployed at sensitive areas of the hill state, they said.

Leaders in communally sensitive areas have been requested to help police in controlling any untoward situation that may crop up after the verdict is pronounced.
